This set was ridiculous. I’ve never met a Rook who gold bursted so much! I think I got hit by every single one of them. Of course, turnabout is fair play and I started getting my own bursts in. I only got hit by CMB once though it was a specter that haunted nearly every game. Sometimes more than once! GGs Rinzler!

I kinda feel bad now, since I ended up being a bit late and then got these results… The first game was close, though—I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make a comeback for most of it. The most satisfying moment on my end was during the second round, when I used Troublesome Rhetoric on Attack, then played Ghost Riposte to dodge his King and do a big combo (can’t remember if I had Pilebunker in hand at the time, but I ended with Final Arbiter).

Let it be known that I graciously stepped aside so Hobusu could play DeGrey. I really didn’t want a mirror match. Then I stupidly played against his DeGrey like I play DeGrey. He is much better with Troublesome Rhetoric than I am.

Anyway, I’m so pissed off I’m dropping from the rest of the tournament! Oh wait, that was my last set. Never mind.

I evaded many Gold Bursts and all of the CMB attempts! GGs Rinzler, crazy match. Definitely the weirdest Rook I’ve ever faced, haha! Keep rollin’ them stones.

I got the Robosatan matchup I was hoping for, and managed to play it to it’s theoretical 5-5 level, in no small part because a past incarnation of @mysticjuicer had explained that Troq wants to just block at range until he’s all Growthed up. In game 2 in particular, I took advantage of that the K-throw all of the times, which helped get Troq down to a reasonable life total.

In other parts of the match, Gold Burst hit and were dodged, Good Move was outsped by Robo-Good Move, 3/3 Beasts were unleashed, including a top-decked raw BU for lethal in Game 3.

The last game ended with me having about 50% of my hand being dodges, @mysticjuicer powering up for known AA numerous times, and several dodge into Q++ to eat through the last of Perse’s life.
